ジョニ・ミッチェルのキャリアを俯瞰する「アーカイヴ・シリーズ」スタート

ジョニ・ミッチェルの「アーカイヴ・シリーズ」が今秋にスタートする。

9月10日にライノ・レコードはジョニ・ミッチェルの協力のもと発見された音源を調査、レストアし、数年かけて「アーカイヴ・シリーズ」としてリリースすることを発表。

アメリカで10月30日に発売される第1弾『JONI MITCHELL ARCHIVES VOL. 1: THE EARLY YEARS (1963 TO 1967)』は、1968年にジョニ・ミッチェルがリプリーズ・レコードからデビューする以前の音源を収録したボックスセット。1963年に故郷カナダ・サスカチュワン州サスカトゥーンにあったラジオ局CFQC29に出演したときに披露した“House Of The Rising Sun”や、未公開ホームデモ、ライブ音源、ラジオ音源などが収録される。29の未発表自作曲も含まれる。

40ページにおよぶブックレットには、未発表写真、キャメロン・クロウがジョニ・ミッチェルに直接取材し、書き下ろした解説を掲載。歌詞、解説の日本語訳が添付される日本盤は11月25日にリリースされる。
